Public Interest Development Trust (PID Trust) is a non-profit, non-political, and charitable social development trust formed under the Trusts Act, 1882 and duly registered under the Registration Act, 1908 of Bangladesh (Regd. Deed No. IV-02/2026, Sub-Registrar Office, Gazipur Sadar). The Trust exists to serve the public at large through lawful, transparent, and responsible initiatives aimed at promoting social justice, sustainable development, and the protection of fundamental rights.
The journey that ultimately led to the formation of PID Trust began in 2020 as a public interest initiative driven by the Founder’s independent engagement in social, environmental, and rights-based issues. Prior to formal registration, the Founder worked individually on various public interest development matters, including civic engagement, awareness-building, and legal advocacy.
